Job Description Summary
The Solar Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of solar power systems. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar installations, conducting performance analyses, and implementing improvements to maximize energy production.
Key Responsibilities
- System Monitoring and Performance Analysis
- Continuously monitor solar power systems using SCADA or other monitoring tools.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Generate detailed performance reports for internal teams and clients.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on solar installations.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues, including inverter failures, communication problems, and module defects.
- Coordinate with field technicians to perform corrective maintenance and repairs.
- System Optimization
- Implement performance enhancement measures based on data analysis and industry best practices.
- Recommend and apply upgrades to hardware and software components.
- Collaborate with design and installation teams to integrate new technologies and improvements.
- Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure all operations and maintenance activities comply with safety standards, local codes, and industry regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, performance data, and system configurations.
- Prepare and update operation manuals and mainte
