The Role

As a Monetization Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in scaling Air Apps’ growth by owning both subscription and ad monetization strategies across our mobile app portfolio.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create and optimize pricing, paywalls, upsell flows, retention strategies, and ad placements, all while ensuring user experience remains at the center.

Use data, run experiments, and help shape how millions of users engage with our products.
- This is a fully onsite position, based at our office in Lisbon, where you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in person and contribute to a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. We are open to support with relocation efforts.

Responsibilities
- Analyze industry trends and competitor strategies to identify monetization opportunities.
- Design and implement monetization strategies to maximize subscription and ad revenue.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to implement monetization features effectively.




- Create user segmentation frameworks and define experimentation hypotheses for monetization.
- Model financial opportunities and expected outcomes for monetization initiatives.
- Analyze pricing strategies and competitive benchmarks to improve subscription pricing.
- Set up and manage subscriptions and pricing tiers on App Store Connect.
- Experiment with different in‑app paywall placements to optimize conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the design team to test and refine paywall layouts and calls‑to‑action.
- Develop and implement win‑back strategies for lapsed or inactive users.
- Identify drivers of churn and implement initiatives to improve user retention.
- Analyze user behavior to identify upsell opportunities and execute upsell strategies.
- Create strategies to increase free trial starts and improve onboarding flows.
- Ensure that monetization strategies do not negatively impact the user experience.
