Senior Engineer – Biomethane Projects | Sicily

A company developing biomethane green field project at Italyis seeking to engagean experienced Engineer resident in Sicily.
The plan is todevelop of two major agricultural biomethane projects each having a capacity of 1500 smc/ hour
Land has already been secured at the Gela PlainSicily.
The company has already obtained authorization unica for a 1500 smc / hour bio methane project at Puglia.
The Puglia project has already been placed on the GSE Graduatoria and entitled to a Capital grant under the PNRR funds.
We are interested in candidates with a background in engineering related to bio methane.
The person must havea minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including substantial experience dealing directly with the
Sicilian Regional Public Administration and relevant permitting authorities.
The initial principal responsibility will be to prepare, coordinate and manage the complete permitting process required
to obtain the Autorizzazione Unica (AU) for two separate agricultural-based biomethane plants,
each with a production capacity of approximately 1,500 Sm³/hour of biomethane, to be developed in the Gela Plain, Sicily.
The candidate isexpected to coordinate the necessary technical and administrative documentation, interface with the relevant authorities
and consultants, monitor the permitting process and actively shepherd each project through to the issuance of the required authorizations.
Candidate requirements:
- Resident in Sicily
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong, proven experience dealing with the Sicilian Regional Administration and permitting authorities
- Previous direct experience with biogas and/or biomethane plants
- Demonstrable knowledge of environmental, technical and administrative permitting procedures
- Professional-level written and spoken English
- Ability to independently coordinate authorities, technical consultants and project stakeholders
