Senior / Principal Systems Engineer - Hydraulics & Controls Location: Italy, Bologna area (onsite only) Salary: to €80,000 + premio + benefits This role would suit a senior engineer or principal engineer with a solid background in developing hydraulic systems for construction machines (specifically including excavator and wheeled loader platforms). Your Role Provide technical guidance and expertise in the development, optimisation and performance of hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic controls for excavator and wheeled loader platforms Work closely with engineering teams in Europe and China to define, develop and optimise hydraulic system architecture, control strategies and machine behaviour Act as a technical authority on hydraulic system performance, helping engineering teams resolve complex technical issues and make informed design decisions Work with engineering teams to develop and evaluate hydraulic system concepts, architecture and control strategies for current and future machine platforms Support the integration of hydraulic and control systems into machines,
including system commissioning, testing and problem resolution Your Background Degree qualified or equivalent in mechanical, mechatronics, hydraulic engineering or a related discipline. Also, excellent English communication skills. Your background may include systems design, integration, test or validation leading up to becoming a hydraulics systems expert You will need significant engineering experience within the construction machinery sector working specifically on the hydraulic systems for entire machines (excavator and wheeled loader machines) for construction applications - this is essential and non-negotiable Deep understanding of hydraulic system architecture and integration, whole machine performance and optimisation (e.g. productivity, efficiency, responsiveness and operator control) Proven experience developing and improving the entire machine's hydraulic systems and performance and not
