We are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Lead to manage the Temporary Labour category for a key client within the consultancy sector. This strategic role will focus on developing and executing category strategies, driving cost optimisation, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and client requirements. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, leveraging market insights and supplier relationships to deliver value.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy Development
Define and implement procurement strategies for temporary labour services aligned with client objectives.
Monitor market trends and regulatory changes in Italy to ensure competitive advantage.
Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with staffing agencies and labour providers.
Build strong supplier relationships to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and operational teams to forecast labour needs and manage demand.
Provide expert guidance on sourcing models and compliance requirements.
Performance & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to Italian labour laws and client-specific policies.
Track KPIs, manage supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost Optimisation
Drive savings through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and innovative workforce solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in procurement, with a focus on temporary labour or HR services.
Proven track record in category management and supplier negotiations.
Skills
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Fluent in Italian and English (mandatory).
Education
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
