We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Sales Manager. This position reports to the Managing Director and will work in Dometic Milan Office.

About the position As a Sales Manager in the Sales team, you will be involved in driving the growth of our Marinebusiness in the Italian region. The ideal candidate will possess both technical knowledge and a strong commercial aptitude, enabling them to build and nurture relationships with key customers, shipyards, and naval architects. As a Sales manager, you will be responsible for promoting our marine solutions, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical expertise to both prospective and existing clients.

Your main responsibilities

Actively pursue new business opportunities with shipyards, and marine project developers within the Italian region

Identify, qualify, and convert leads into sales, achieving or exceeding revenue targets

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and maintain strong relationships with existing customers

Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to represent the company and generate business leads

Provide technical advice and support to clients, helping them choose the best solutions based on their specific vessel requirements and project specifications

Collaborate with the engineering team to develop customized systems for marine applications

Present product features, benefits, and value propositions to decision-makers, including project managers, engineers, and shipyard leaders

Lead the coordination of technical specifications, project timelines,



and contract negotiations, ensuring smooth communication between the client, internal teams, and external partners

Oversee the order process, ensuring timely delivery and installation of systems, while ensuring customer satisfaction

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs in the marine sector

Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management, ensuring alignment with regional goals and targets

Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty

A suitable background would be a solid experience within Marine Sales - as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

Technical Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field, with experience in marine HVAC systems, refrigeration, or related technical systems

Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales engineering or business development within the OEM marine industry, ideally focusing on Marine systems, marine equipment, or related technologies

Knowledge of the Italian Markets: Deep understanding of the marine sector within the regions, including local regulations, market dynamics,



and key industry players

Customer-Centric: Strong ability to engage with, shipyards, and marine project developers, offering tailored solutions that meet customer needs

Technical Aptitude: Comfortable discussing technical specifications and capable of explaining complex systems to non-technical stakeholders

Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and customer requirements are met

Team Player: Ability to work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and customer service teams to ensure successful project delivery

Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently within the region to meet clients and attend industry events

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:

Experience in sales engineering or business development specifically for the marine systems industry

A proven track record of working with shipbuilders, or maritime engineering firms

Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with fluency in English
