p>JHC Consulting is an independent advisory practice providing counsel to board committees and chief executives on matters of governance and strategy. We are currently supporting a European technology consultancy on a series of long term mandates involving leadership structure and internal reporting standards. We operate on the principle that writing is thinking. We do not use slide decks or presentations to convey our findings. Instead, we produce signed memoranda that offer a dissenting and rigorous read of corporate cases. The Reporting Specialist role is a tempo pieno, entry level position that supports this work through meticulous data analysis and narrative reporting.
The Role
In this role, your primary responsibility is to translate data into clear, written arguments. You will support our principals by gathering information from our partner, the European technology consultancy, and verifying the accuracy of their internal figures. The work is quiet and focused, requiring you to spend significant time reading through technical documents and extracting the core facts needed for our advisory work. Your day to day tasks will include:

- Reviewing raw data sets and internal performance reports from the client organization.
- Drafting clear, text based summaries that explain what the data suggests about the company's current trajectory.
- Ensuring that every figure used in a JHC memorandum is backed by a verifiable assumption.
- Identifying gaps or inconsistencies in the information provided by the client.
- Maintaining a rigorous standard of accuracy in all written summaries.
- Conducting basic research into industry benchmarks to provide context for our internal analysis.




- Supporting the revision process as memoranda move through successive drafts.

What You Bring
We are looking for individuals who value intellectual rigor and have a high degree of literacy. Because every piece of work we produce is a written document, the ability to write clearly and concisely is the most important skill you can offer. This is an entry level role, so we do not require a long professional history, but we do expect a high standard of logical thinking and a basic comfort with data. You should have:

- A strong academic background or personal projects that demonstrate your ability to analyze complex information.
- Competency with spreadsheets and basic data tools to help you organize and interpret numbers.
- The ability to write in a formal, professional tone without relying on filler or jargon.
- A disciplined approach to work, with the focus required to read long documents without losing attention to detail.
- The courage to point out when data does not support a specific claim or narrative.
- An interest in corporate governance and the way large organizations are managed.
- A preference for working independently and taking ownership of your specific contributions.

How We Work
JHC Consulting is built on individual accountability. We follow a single author model,



which means the person who conducts the analysis also writes the memorandum and signs their name to the foot of the document. We believe this creates a higher standard of work than the typical collaborative model where authorship is diluted. We do not participate in the usual ceremonies of corporate life. We focus on the document as the final product. Every mandate we accept receives a thorough reading and multiple rounds of revision to ensure the logic is sound and the writing is sharp.

This environment requires a high degree of self discipline and the ability to manage your own schedule without constant supervision.
