Do you have high collaboration, priority management and listening skills?Then you may be our newSenior Specialist, ProcurementSuominen Corporation is looking to hire, for the Cressa plant (Novara, Italy) the Senior Specialist, Procurement, able to guarantee continuity to the production through the availability of all necessary materials and services.As Senior Specialist, Procurement – directly reporting to the Supply Chain Manager – you will be in charge of ensuring the availability of all direct and indirect supplies required for plant.Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:Managing autonomously contract selection and negotiation with key local suppliersEnsuring availability of suppliers for direct and indirect services and related materials for production, in close cooperation with Maintenance departmentManaging autonomously procurement of necessary raw materials to ensure production continuity at the plantCollaborating with Raw Material Planner and Supply Chain Manager to align material and service purchase requirements with MRP planning outputsEnsuring materials are available as required/scheduled and manage inventory to maintain adequate stock levelsCreating and managing all purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and related changesDriving continuous improvement of the purchasing process within the plantMonitoring cost management,
on-time deliveries and quality of incoming productsGuaranteeing correct setup and management of production materials (grades) and related BOMs (Bills of Materials)Negotiating the sale of by-products and production wasteTo be successful in this role, we would like you to have:High school diploma in Finance, Business Administration, or similarAt least 2 years'
experience in similar roles in manufacturing companiesExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsStrong teamwork and communication skillsProblem-solving ability and effective priority managementKnowledge of SAP and MRP principlesThe position will be based in the Cressa plant (Novara, Italy) and will directly report to the Supply Chain Manager, Italy.We are offering a first 12-month contract, with possibility of stabilization.Suominenmanufactures nonwovens as roll goods for wipes and other applications.
