A job adapted to your career ambitions and in which you could have an impact for the years to come?We are looking for a HR Officer to work at ESA's ESRIN site in Frascati, Italy.In this role, you will be part of the HR Support Services, interfacing with ESA staff and management at all sites.About the client and locationThe ESA Centre for Earth Observation (ESRIN) is the European Space Agency's (ESA) base in Frascati, Italy.
From this location ESA conducts most of their earth observation research, including data analysis and distribution for other non-ESA satellites.This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 ("Rules for the right to work of disabled people").Questa posizione e' aperta alle categorie protette L. 68/99.Tasks and activitiesThe scope of work shall include the following activities:Managing the day-to-day operation of the ESRIN Local Affairs service Office (LAO).Acting as an interface between ESRIN/LAO and the Protocol Office of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Italian Customs, and external service providers.Liaising with ESRIN ESA staff in relation to the implementation of the privileges and immunities provided for under the ESA Convention.Preparing staff information materials, including briefing kits and presentations.Acting as content editor for the LOA intranet page.Participating in meetings with the MFA.Supporting and managing the improvement of LOA processes and services.Assisting in the development of detailed internal processes and procedures.Proposing, supporting,
and managing digitalisation initiatives for the Office.Training newly recruited staff assigned to provide additional support to the LAO Office.Assisting with other tasks linked to harmonisation or backing up of Local Affairs tasks in the Section as required by the ESA Local Affairs Manager.Skills and experienceThe following skills and experience are mandatory:University degree, or equivalent qualification, in Business or Public Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Informatics, Engineering, or another relevant field.A minimum of five to six years of relevant professional experience.Excellent communication skills, combined with diplomatic sensitivity.Strong analytical skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure timely follow-up on actions.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in an international and multicultural environment.Solution-oriented mindset, with a strong customer-focused approach to communication.Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:Experience in a similar role in other international entity.Why should you apply?You will have the opportunity to work within leading space organisations across Europe.We encourage everyone to think outside the box and to push the boundaries of traditional knowledge.
