Production Manager – China
We are looking for an experienced China-based Production Manager, ideally located in Guangzhou, CINA or the surrounding manufacturing region, to manage day-to-day factory production for custom merchandise, apparel, accessories, and promotional products.
You will act as the main point of contact between our team and factories, ensuring products are manufactured on time, to specification, and to the required quality standard.
Key responsibilities:
- Follow up closely with factories throughout prototyping and mass production.
- Obtain regular progress updates, photos, samples, and production timelines.
- Help factories interpret our technical specification sheets and resolve manufacturing questions.
- Identify production issues or deviations early and coordinate practical solutions.
- Keep factories accountable to agreed timelines and negotiate solutions when schedules change.
- Coordinate production splits, expedited batches, or other adjustments when required.
- Prepare completed orders for local delivery to our China logistics centre.
- Coordinate factory access and preparation for third-party quality inspections.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with factory partners.
Requirements:
- Based in China; Guangzhou preferred.
- Native/fluent Chinese and strong working English.
- 5+ years’ experience managing production directly with Chinese factories.
- Experience with custom merchandise, apparel, accessories, promotional products, or similar consumer goods.
- Strong problem-solving, follow-up, negotiation, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple factories and production schedules simultaneously.
This is primarily a factory coordination and production management role — no regular travel required. 2K USD salary
