Single Point of Contact within HV Products for manufacturing philosophy and execution pertaining to Control and Protection Electrical Cabinets for Power System Substations. Responsible to provide manufacturing methods to optimise resource use, minimise waste and maintain Quality standards.
The opportunity
Single Point of Contact within HV Products for manufacturing philosophy and execution pertaining to Control and Protection Electrical Cabinets for Power System Substations. Responsible to provide manufacturing methods to optimise resource use, minimise waste and maintain Quality standards.
Scope of Products include but are not limited to: GIS, PASS, DTB, LTB, GCB, MECB, BESS.
How You'll Make An Impact
Strong collaboration with the HV Control & Protection System Expert, ECAD Solution Owner, local Industrial Engineering Teams, Internal and External Local Control Cubicles (LCC) Vendors.
Sharing manufacturing knowledge with Secondary Design Engineers so that they are more effective in defining the LCCs to be manufactured/assembled.
Analyse International Specification/User requirements for Manufacturing requirements for Local Control Cubicles (LCCS).
Product-wise (GIS, PASS, DTB, LTB, GCB, MECB, BESS etc)
National standard-wise à UL (ANSI), CSA and IEC. Potential use of IEC components for American-UL market
Identify gaps, propose methods to close these gaps
Ensure conformity with full documentation (type tests if needed)
Review customer specifications across HV for preparing a standardised Secondary LCC Manufacturing Solution.
Propose harmonisation steps for different standards between different units
Support proposal of new component suppliers to existing Clients’ approved material lists
Apply Lean Methods and review/implement best practices with LCC vendors
Thorough knowledge in interpreting electrical engineering schematics and how
