Who we are looking for The Head of Logistics is responsible for the end-to-end logistics function of the brand, overseeing the full supply chain flow from inbound receipt through outbound distribution across Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce channels. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this role leads the management of third-party logistics providers (3PL) and drives continuous improvement in efficiency, cost, service level, and sustainability.
- 10+ years of logistics/supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven background in the fashion, apparel, or consumer goods industry.
- Strong experience managing 3PL relationships and multi-channel distribution networks.
- Track record of leading logistics transformation or network optimization projects.
- Deep knowledge of inbound/outbound logistics, warehouse management, and transport operations.
- Use to operate in a mid-migration systems environment.
- Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transport Management Systems).
- Strong analytical mindset; ability to build and manage logistics KPI dashboards.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
Key responsabilities
Inbound Logistics
- Define and oversee inbound flows from suppliers (domestic and international), ensuring timely receipt, quality checks, and accurate inventory updates.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Q&C; teams to align delivery schedules and manage exceptions.
- Monitor lead times, carrier performance, and customs compliance.
- Ensure full trade compliance across all import flows: accurate HS code classification, country-of-origin determination and "Made In" labelling requirements, customs valuation (including royalties, assists, and transfer pricing implications), and Importer of Record (IOR) responsibilities — leveraging preferential origin / FTA schemes where applicable and managing relationships with customs brokers and authorities.
Outbound Logistics & Distribution
- Manage outbound order fulfilment across all channels: Wholesale (B2B), Retail (store replenishment), and E-commerce (D2C / marketplace).
- Define service level agreements (SLAs) per channel and monitor KPIs (on-time delivery,
order accuracy, fill rate).
- Optimize picking, packing, and dispatch processes to meet seasonal peaks and campaign launches.
3PL Management
- Select, contract, and manage relationships with external logistics service providers (3PLs), including warehouse operators and transport carriers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and drive continuous improvement programs with 3PL partners.
- Oversee compliance with operational, quality, and contractual standards.
Reverse Logistics
- Design and manage return flows for all channels, ensuring timely processing, quality assessment, and stock reintegration or disposal.
- Identify root causes of returns and collaborate with commercial and quality teams to reduce return rates.
Logistics Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Develop the multi-year logistics roadmap aligned with company growth plans (volume, geographic expansion, new channels).
- Lead network optimization projects: warehouse footprint, carrier mix, automation, and technology (WMS/TMS).
- Define and manage the logistics budget, including cost per unit shipped, storage costs, and 3PL fees.
Team Leadership
- Build and develop the internal logistics team; set objectives, coach, and evaluate team members.
- Interface with cross-functional stakeholders: Sales, Merchandising, Finance, IT, and external partners.
This role comes with an annual gross salary of around €60,000 - €65,000, plus a range of company benefits.
