JHC Consulting is an independent advisory practice that provides private counsel to board committees and chief executives. We are currently supporting a partner that is a European technology consultancy, helping their leadership navigate questions of strategy and governance through rigorous written analysis. The Project Planning Assistant will provide the organizational structure necessary for our principals to execute these mandates. This is a full-time, fully remote position that requires a high degree of intellectual discipline and an appreciation for the written word as the primary tool of thought.
The Role
In this position, you will support the lifecycle of our advisory engagements from inception to the final signed memorandum. Your primary focus is the coordination of the information flow required for our analysis. This involves organizing the reading materials provided by our clients, tracking the progress of successive drafts, and ensuring that the timeline for each mandate remains intact. You will be responsible for the structural integrity of our project files,
ensuring that every claim made in a memorandum can be traced back to the original source documents provided by the European technology consultancy we are advising.
Day-to-day work includes the synthesis of client documents into clear briefs for our principals. You will not be building slide decks or managing complex software suites: instead, you will be ensuring that the author of a memorandum has a clear, quiet path to complete their work. This involves managing the calendar of revisions and ensuring that the internal scrutiny process for each document is followed without exception. The role is remote, requiring you to manage your own schedule while maintaining constant availability for the needs of the mandate.
