On behalf of a leading multinational company operating in the contract logistics sector, we are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager – Consumer, Retail & Fashion .
Reporting to senior management, this role will be responsible for driving business growth within the Consumer, Retail & Fashion sector across Italy, contributing to the definition of the commercial strategy and leading a dedicated business development team.
The position requires close collaboration with both Italian and European stakeholders.
Define and execute the business development strategy for the Consumer, Retail & Fashion sector in the Italian market;
Build, develop, and manage a qualified pipeline of new business opportunities;
Identify, pursue, and secure new customers through a structured sales approach;
Manage the entire sales cycle, from opportunity qualification through contract negotiation and project handover to implementation teams;
Prepare commercial proposals, lead customer presentations, and negotiate commercial agreements;
Support Business Units in managing existing customers and contract renewal activities when required;
Collaborate with Italian and European leadership in defining and implementing the sector strategy;
Conduct market, competitor, and industry analyses across B2B, B2C, and eCommerce business models;
Monitor commercial performance through KPIs,
ensuring achievement of business targets;
Lead, coach, and develop a team of three direct reports.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field;
Significant experience in Business Development and Sales within the logistics or supply chain industry;
Strong knowledge of the Consumer, Retail, and Fashion sectors;
Proven experience in selling complex logistics and supply chain solutions;
Good understanding of warehousing, transportation, and contract logistics operations;
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute growth strategies;
Previous experience managing and developing teams;
Fluent English.
Strong customer orientation with the ability to build long-term, trusted relationships;
Ability to work effectively in complex, cross-functional, and international environments;
