Radical Polymers - Radical Polymers R&I;, Chemist / Organic Chemist (Researcher)
MISSION
Drive the research and development of innovative products and processes to achieve sustainable and profitable growth by leveraging Syensqo's proprietary technologies and discovering new advancements.
Develop as a scientific expert following the R&I; dual career path (expert track).
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Comply with HSE and laboratory safety practices.
- Drive R&I; projects and ensure objectives are achieved and deadlines are met.
- Design, execute, and lead experimental research at the laboratory and pilot scale.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work, developing and evaluating new synthetic approaches, materials,
and processes.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians and contribute to laboratory organization.
- Develop expertise in fluorine organic chemistry, radical polymerization, and related technologies.
- Generate innovative ideas and translate them into practical experimental programs.
- Contribute to patent filings and scientific reports.
- Collaborate closely with both internal (Production, PAM, RAPS, CTD, Marketing) and external partners (e.g. customers, universities).
- Monitor scientific and technological developments, competitors' patents, and emerging opportunities within the field.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related field.
- Knowledge of fluorine chemistry and radical polymerization is a plus.
SKILLS
- Excellent organic chemistry knowledge with strong synthetic and mechanistic understanding.
- Creative scientist with strong experimental intuit
