Team: Intelligence Division
The Intelligence Division supports the JFSC's intelligence-led approach to supervision, proactively identifying and assessing emerging risks across Jersey's financial services sector. By gathering, researching and evaluating information from a wide range of sources, the Division develops intelligence on potential regulatory concerns, including unauthorised activity. This intelligence not only helps shape risk-based supervision and enforcement priorities but also provides valuable support to partner agencies both in Jersey and internationally. Through its insight, expertise and collaborative approach, the Division plays a vital role in safeguarding the integrity and reputation of Jersey's financial services industry.
Role: Intelligence Analyst (35 Hours per week/12 Month FTC)
The successful candidate will join the JFSC at a key stage in its 2030 strategy, as it seeks to play an enhanced role in the continued success of Jersey as a highly regarded International Financial Centre.
The candidate will deliver the following outcomes:
- Proactively identify immediate and potential regulatory concerns, threats and risks to financial loss to the public; Jersey’s reputation; and financial crime by:
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop and update on intelligence matters.
- Conduct proactive horizon scanning activities to understand emerging risks and potential conduct and/or financial crime threats to the island’s financial services industry and consumers.
- Utilise internal and external sources of information proactively to analyse information received from varying sources including complex data sets and reports.
- Utilise open-source materials to find further information, corroborating or dispelling the working hypothesis.
- Develop a wide network of stakeholders across the JFSC and external agencies to facilitate the flow of information and understanding of how intelligence is being used from a regulatory perspective.
- Deliver quality, accurate and timely intelligence reports, and other materials used to disseminate intelligence.
- Lead and actively contribute to working groups and strategy meetings where regulatory matters and issues are identified.
- Manage and act upon stakeholder feedback to enable continuous improvement.
- Play a key role in ensuring the Intelligence Division is effective in its strategy objectives and outcomes.
- Provide practical guidance to internal staff on the handling of intelligence.

Delivering timely and useful intelligence reports that identify current and emerging regulatory risks in support of the JFSC’s risk based approach to Supervision.
What will success in this role look like?
- Intelligence reports are used to promote early supervisory interventions to prevent issues becoming serious or prevents financial loss from occurring.
- Positive stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Constructive participation in working groups and strategy meetings.
- A confident understanding and application of the JFSC Codes of Practice, AML/CFT framework and the JFSC’s Guiding Principles.
- Being recognised for delivering well-constructed, comprehensive intelligence reports.
