Offer Description The position is aimed at research activities on the molecular characterization of microbial communities and the analysis of microbiological indicators in environmental samples, with particular focus on marine and coastal environments. Activities include microbial DNA extraction, quantification and quality assessment; quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) for the detection and quantification of genetic targets,
including fecal contamination indicators; use of QIAxcel systems for DNA fragment analysis; characterization of bacterial communities through 16S rRNA gene analysis and amplicon sequencing; and data analysis. Additional tasks include the development and optimization of analytical protocols, management of molecular datasets, and preparation of technical reports and scientific publications. Proven experience in molecular biology methods applied to environmental samples is required. xrdztoy Master's degree in LM-6 Biology, LM-60 Natural Sciences, or LM-75 Environmental and Territorial Sciences and Technologies (or equivalent qualifications), obtained no more than six years before the application deadline, together with a curriculum suitable for supporting the research activities covered by the appointment: Proficiency in the English language; Proficiency in the Italian language for applicants who are not Italian citizens.
