ING Italy is looking for a Junior Market Risk Analyst who is interested in working in Asset and Liability Management (ALM), Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) or generic Market Risk. A quantitative background is a plus.
The Market Risk team is in charge of all ALM activities for ING Italy. The risk categories are interest rate risk, funding and liquidity risk, treasury risk and customer behaviour (modeling) risk. The Market Risk team is part of the risk domain headed by the ING Italy CRO and is part of ING’s Group-wide Financial Risk organization.

What you’ll do
The team activities are quite varied - here are some of the main ones:
Interest rate risk management for ING Italy.
Ownership of local asset and liability models, including calibration, backtesting and monitoring.
Contribution to the development of Group asset and liability models.
Ownership of local IRRBB models.
Monitoring of all the allocated limits, including Treasury, IRRBB and liquidity limits.
Liquidity risk reporting & analysis including Liquidity Crisis Management in conjunction with HO and Liquidity stress testing.
Risk management of Securitization.
Local activities related to Market Risk Capital.
ALM risk identification and assessment.
Monthly risk transfer of the open positions to Bank Treasury
Who we are looking for
You have an academic degree (MSc or PhD), preferably in economics, econometrics, physics, statistics, or mathematics.
You have an interest in ALM and IRRBB models.
Experience with coding is a plus (e.g. Python).
You are curious, open to new developments and you know how to master new material quickly. Moreover, you can interact well with your stakeholder’s needs as an expert advisor and can translate complex topics in a manner appropriate for their background and objectives.
You are a team player who will add value within a dynamic environment. You cooperate well and keep interactions friendly and respectful.
You possess an excellent command of English, being able to demonstrate negotiation, presentation and writing skills.
You are able to deal with unforeseen challenges, as well as to constructively cooperate with your peers in building a sustainable, effective and efficient working environment.
