**APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: May 13th, 2025** **Human Technopole (HT)**is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health. HT is composed of five Centers: Neurogenomics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, and Health Data Science. The Centers work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that will help promote life science research both nationally and internationally. **About the Group** The Taverna group studies brain development and evolution, focusing on the role of intracellular traffic and protein glycosylation. **Internship Project Description** **Key tasks and activities** Modelling neurological manifestations of CDGs using human iPSCs-derived organoids and/or neurons. This task includes cell culture, iPSCs maintenance, organoid culture, neuronal cultures and cell phenotyping.
- support immunofluorescence and/or calcium imaging
- acquire expertise in confocal microscopy and super-resolution microscopy
- support image analysis and quantification. **Essential requirements**
- Master’s Degree in neurobiology, cell biology or relevant field
- Experience with cell culture work, in particular with human iPSCs
- Experience with immunofluorescence and light microscopy **Preferred requirements**
- Experience with 2D or 3D iPSCs-derived systems -such as brain rosettes, brain organoids and/or induced neurons
- to model human disorders
- A background in cell biology or molecular biology **Organizational and social skills**
