We are seeking a talented and hands-on Design Manager to lead the development of our luxury handbag collections. Reporting to the Creative Director and working closely with the Atelier Manager, you will guide a small design team and oversee the creative process from concept to prototype, ensuring each product meets the highest standards of design and craftsmanship. **What You’ll Do**
- Lead the design of luxury handbags, translating creative direction into innovative, functional, and brand-aligned products.
- Manage and collaborate with a Designer and Junior Designer, providing creative direction and developmental feedback.
- Partner with the Creative Director to shape seasonal collections and product strategy.
- Create and refine hand sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Work closely with the Atelier Manager to ensure designs are feasible and beautifully executed.
- Oversee and support the prototype development process, from ideation to refinement.
- Maintain collection archives, mood boards, and material libraries.
- Present new ideas and prototypes in internal reviews and creative meetings.
- Stay informed on design trends, materials, and techniques to drive innovation. **Who You Are**
- You hold a degree in Fashion Design, Applied Arts, or a related field.
- You have 5+ years of experience in luxury handbag or leather accessory design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong leadership and innovation.
- You are skilled in freehand sketching, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D software (Rhino, Solidworks, etc.).
- You have strong team leadership skills and enjoy mentoring other designers.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- You speak English fluently; proficiency in Italian or French is a strong plus.
