Job Overview:
The Area Manager Construction is tasked with the development planning and executing construction of an area of the LNG facility. The role requires multi-disciplinary expertise and the ability to understand the industry to achieve financial and operational objectives. The Senior Manager Construction manages multiple related teams, sets their organizational priorities, and allocates the appropriate resources. They will be required to manage and coordinate multiple contractors operating within their area of responsibility They must be able to identify and resolve a range of complex technical, operational, and organizational problems. The Senior Manager Construction directly impacts business results by supporting and function-specific projects, products, services, and/or technologies, and developing policies and plans.
Key Task and Responsibilities:
Understanding of full EPC project lifecycle and interfaces essential
Key strategic role as McDermott senior representative in partner office Milan for one year then Senior CM on site.
Comfortable in HO environment and capable of stakeholder management of partners within JV whilst ensuring company interests are protected
Contribute to development and influence of key strategies and planning such as implementation of Advanced Work Packs processes, sub-contract strategies, site establishment, constructability, Scopes of Work and schedule forecasting.
Monitor partner processes and procedures to ensure compliance and interface compatibility with McDermott company practices
Develop Sub-contract scopes of work and participate in high value multi-discipline bid reviews
Comfortable working closely and communicating with project stakeholders including engineering, supply chain, project management, Quality, EHS and sub-contract management
Lead the team to deliver a successful project
Responsible for planning and execution of the construction plan at the job site including all construction activities and changes
