THE ROLE
A GM-level seat owning design and product development end-to-end. You set creative direction and trend forecasting, and work directly with customers, buyers, and their design teams alongside our salespeople, a commercial role as much as a creative one. Your development is the pitch; the order is the outcome.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own creative direction, seasonal trend forecasting,
and product development strategy
- Engage buyers and their design teams directly, with sales, to convert concepts into orders
- Develop design narratives, color stories, and fabric strategies for global fashion cycles
- Create mood boards, concepts, and technical specifications for collections
- Oversee fabric R&D; and embellishment innovation (prints, embroidery, washes)
- Build, lead, and mentor the design team; set creative and quality benchmarks
- Champion sustainability-conscious design aligned with ZDHC and OEKO-TEX standards
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
- Orders / POs generated from your developments
- Hit rate of products developed (samples converted to orders)
- Repeat and retained appreciation from customers
- Photo record of each developed sample, matched to the PO received
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in fashion design and product development, knitwear/apparel focus, with team leadership
