Role Description
The Reporter will be responsible for covering news and events related to Politecnico di Torino, including academic initiatives, research projects, campus activities, and industry collaborations. Daily activities include researching stories, conducting interviews, verifying information, and producing clear, accurate, and engaging written content for various channels such as web, print, and social media. The Reporter will collaborate with communication and editorial teams to plan coverage, develop multimedia storytelling, and ensure consistency with institutional communication guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Turin, requiring regular presence on campus to attend events, meetings, and press activities.
Qualifications
- Strong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, timely, and engaging stories.
- Excellent communication and writing abilities, including clear language, structured narratives, and audience awareness.
- Experience with multimedia content creation, such as photos, video, and basic editing for digital platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, researchers, students, and external partners.
- Solid research and fact-checking skills, with attention to detail and ethical journalistic standards.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools, content management systems, and social media platforms is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian and/or additional languages is considered a plus.
- Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and flexibility to cover events as needed.
