JHC Consulting provides counsel to boards, chief executives, and heads of industry. Our partner is a leading figure in corporate governance and strategic advisory, requiring a level of digital precision that mirrors the intellectual rigor of our written work. We are adding a Junior Web Developer to our small, remote team to assist in the construction and maintenance of our internal systems and client facing document repositories. This is a permanent, tempo pieno position for an entry level professional who understands that software is a vehicle for clear communication and precise thought.
The Role
In this position, your primary focus is the technical delivery of our written output. We do not use slide decks or standard presentation software. Instead, we rely on structured, digital memoranda. You will spend your time ensuring these documents are hosted securely, formatted correctly, and accessible to the relevant principals. You will assist in building lightweight, text heavy web applications that prioritize readability and security over visual noise. This involves working with standard web technologies to create clean, durable interfaces. You will also participate in the maintenance of our firm's digital presence, ensuring that every page reflects the deliberate nature of our practice. Because we are a remote firm, you will be responsible for managing your own development environment and communicating clearly through written documentation of your code.
What You Bring
We are looking for an individual who is early in their career but possesses a disciplined approach to technical work. You should have a foundational understanding of the following:
- Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Java Script.
- An interest in typography and the presentation of complex text.
- A background in computer science, web development, or an analytical field of study.
- The ability to follow technical specifications with extreme precision.
- A preference for simple, functional code over complex or decorative features.
- Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong writing skills for technical documentation and internal communication.
