Eli Lilly Italia is looking for aMechanical Engineerto join one of the production departments at the Sesto Fiorentino (FI) site: Packaging, Formulation, Filling, or Visual Inspection.
The selected candidate will be part of across-functional teamand will play a key role in thetechnical management of production lines, ensuring operational efficiency, supporting activity planning, and driving continuous improvement.
The goal is to ensure compliance with production, maintenance, and HSE standards, with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure deep knowledge of theproduction processand all its components (including technical documentation);
Define and manage the correct setup ofproduction equipmentto ensure alignment with the production plan;
Prepare operating procedures and technical notes to sharebest practicesacross teams;
Manage processanomaliesand leadroot cause analysisand first-level problem-solving;
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to execute routine andextraordinary maintenance(IC/IL, predictive, corrective);
Carry out specificinterventionson production equipment and support predictive maintenance activities;
Analyze process data and managekey performance indicators(OEE, alarms, rejects, downtime, AQMS data, etc.);
Propose and leadcontinuous improvementinitiatives andCapExprojects;
Train and supportoperational and maintenance staff through technical knowledge and training activities;
Manage spare partsinventory, including reordering levels, codification, and interchangeability;
Plan and coordinate activities duringShutdown periods;
EvaluateHSE risksrelated to maintenance interventions in collaboration with the Technical Team;
Interact with national and internationalsuppliersfor components and technical services.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree inMechanical, Chemical, or AutomationEngineering (or equivalent);
1-2 years of experiencein production, engineering, or maintenance within structured companies;
Fluent inEnglish(minimum level B2);
Knowledge ofmaintenance fundamentals and KPIs, as well as basic metrology concepts.
