ppThe OT Systems Engineer supports the design, implementation, and operation of secure, resilient systems infrastructure for hyperscale data centre OT environments in Siziano, Milan.
The role focuses on Operational Technology systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and other critical site infrastructure.
/ppWorking closely with internal technology, engineering, operations, and vendor teams, you will help maintain system performance, reliability, and security while supporting troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement in a high-availability environment.
This is a hands?on, site-based role requiring regular presence across local data centre sites in the Siziano/Milan area.
/ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDeploy, configure, maintain, and optimise OT systems infrastructure across critical data centre environments.
/liliSupport Windows, Linux, VMware, and virtualised platforms to maintain performance, resilience, security, and service continuity.
/liliMonitor system performance, identify issues or bottlenecks, and implement improvements to support high availability.
/liliTroubleshoot complex incidents, work with internal teams and vendors, and help drive root cause resolution and preventive actions.
/liliSupport monitoring, patching, backup, maintenance, and documentation activities across OT systems.
/liliApply security, operational, and regulatory best practices in a high-availability environments.
/liliParticipate in out-of-hours or emergency support when required to maintain service continuity.
/li /ulh3What You'll Bring /h3ulliExperience as a Systems Engineer in an enterprise,
critical infrastructure, or data centre environment.
/liliStrong hands?on knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, VMware-based virtualisation, and secure, high-availability infrastructure.
/liliExperience with troubleshooting, systems administration, and operational support in complex technical environments.
/liliUnderstanding of security best practices, patching, backup, and system resilience.
/liliExperience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible is beneficial.
/liliFamiliarity with OT systems such as BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLCs, or HMIs would be an advantage.
/liliKnowledge of SAN technologies, backup solutions, infrastructure cabling, Azure/cloud infrastructure, or relevant Microsoft/VMware certifications would be beneficial.
/liliStrong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with Italian and English language ability at B2/C1 level.
