/ph3About this Role /h3pWe are looking for a motivated graduate or professional in the early stages of their career, from an economics, statistical or other quantitative discipline, to join our team of Financial Economists and make a positive impact to the global financial market from day one.
This role will work in a project team bringing advanced quantitative and data driven techniques to highly complex disputes involving financial markets and securities litigation.
/ph3Key Accountabilities /h3pThe Financial Economist will work on financial projects that require econometric, statistical or other more quantitative/qualitative financial analysis techniques.
Some notable responsibilities will include: /pulliConducting detailed qualitative and quantitative financial analysis of allegations of financial misconduct as part of the delivery of Fideres' expert consulting mandates /liliData extraction, cleaning, processing, manipulation and management for data heavy projects /liliWriting comprehensive reports that summarize the key findings of our analysis in a simple,



succinct manner /liliVerbally presenting key findings to clients in a manner that allows them to understand both the results and how they impact their own clients /liliCommunicating with clients and stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner /liliTaking the initiative in suggesting ways to strengthen the quality of our analysis; with progression to proactively developing new business opportunities /liliKeeping on top of market developments to generate new case ideas /li /ulh3Key Skills and Attributes /h3pThe successful candidate will have: /pulliA keen interest in financial markets and a strong belief in fair and transparent markets /liliA strong record of academic achievement with a relevant degree(s) in economics, financial economics, statistics or other quantitative subjects (data analysis, mathematics etc.) /liliProficiency with data analysis software and programming experience (e.g., Python, R, Excel) /liliSome hands?on experience in complex/big data manipulation, management, and analysis.
Experience of database programs (e.g., SQL, Postgres) is a plus /liliSolid understanding of data analysis techniques, and statistical inference /liliAttention to detail and a commitment to going the extra mile to produce rigorous, accurate work, within the constraints of the time and resources available /liliExcellent written and verbal communication, including experience of writing reports and presentations /liliStrong communication skills and enjoys building relationships with key stakeholders, has the ability to explain economic concepts and quantitative results, and their implications, to non?specialists /liliIntegrity, and a creative, curious mind /liliA high level of accountability,
