Principal Hardware Developer - Power Electronics (m/w/d)

Your Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for Alpitronic's power electronics development
- Develop new generation power electronics, such as new switching topologies, introduction of new power semiconductors and new gate driver circuits
- Develop innovative and cost-optimised power electronics, maximising power density (power semiconductors, magnetics and capacitors)
- Lead the debugging of newly developed power electronic boards and assemblies
- Lead field return analyses for power electronics
Your Qualifications & Skills
- PhD in electronics or electronic engineering
- Extensive work experience in power electronics
- Excellent knowledge of power electronics, especially SiC technology (GaN would be an advantage)
- Deep knowledge of different converter topologies for active rectifiers (AC-DC) and for isolated/non-isolated converters (DC/DC)
- Strong expertise in the design of passive components (chokes, transformers) including pulse pattern optimisation
- Excellent knowledge in the implementation of analogue/digital measurement circuits for power electronics (in particular: voltage, current and temperature measurement in combination with fast switching converters)
