/liliAdmits, discharges and transfers patients as requested.
/liliDocumentation and billing supplies used.
/liliKnowledge of procedures to follow if unable to reach physician.
/liliDevelops working assignments for unlicensed personnel.
/liliMakes compliance rounds and reporting any pertinent issues.
/liliMaintains effective lines of communication with attending physicians.
/liliAssists the Director of Nursing Services to coordinate the care planning/MDS process and committee meetings as necessary.
/liliParticipates in patient screening and selection process as requested.
/liliAssists the Director of Nursing to monitor physician services (documentation and visits etc.) in accordance with current regulations.
/liliAssists the Director of Nursing Services in follow?up of consultant recommendations, i.e., pharmacy, dietary, etc.
/liliProvides demonstration/education as necessary for LPNs and unlicensed staff to perform job.
/liliCompletes documentation procedures on patients (appropriate use of forms, timelines and Medicare documentation etc.).
/liliCommunicates with physicians, arranges for transportation for doctor appointments and contacts families.
/liliDemonstrates appropriate/effective supervisory skills that include fair and uniformly applied corrective actions administered without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, handicap or marital status.
/liliProvides to the Director of Nursing Services appropriate reports/documentation to support departmental updates, corrective actions and other as necessary.
/liliAssists as requested, in the interviewing, screening and selection of associates in accordance with established staffing budgets.
/liliAssists the Director of Nursing Services to maintain appropriate personnel file documentation including reference checks, screenings, corrective actions, evaluations, skills verification and others as requested.
/liliReviews and responds to complaints/grievances (associate and/or patient or family) that concern your department as requested by the Director of Nursing Services.
/liliMaintains efforts to establish effective inter?departmental communication to provide positive working relationships.
/liliAssists the Director of Nursing Services in monitoring LPNs and unlicensed nursing staff for compliance with established procedural guidelines and protocols.
/liliMaintains a working knowledge of current licensure standards and the survey process.
/liliMonitors work of other nursing staff in unit for thoroughness.
/liliMakes rounds to provide proper care to and cleanliness of patients.
/liliCoordinates care of patients.
/liliAssists nursing staff members according to needs.
/liliImplements Education Program, Infection Control Program and/or Quality Assurance Program.
/liliPromotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
/liliContributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
/liliPerforms other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

/li /ulbMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS /bpA Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or is a graduate of an approved LPN program.
/ppActive LPN License to practice in the State of Georgia /ph3SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3pProvides oversight and direction unlicensed nursing personnel.
/ph3LANGUAGE SKILLS /h3pAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
/ph3MATHEMATICAL SKILLS /h3pAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
/ph3REASONING ABILITY /h3pAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format.
