Due to continued growth in Italy, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a flagship data centre project in Milan.This is a senior leadership role with significant influence across pre-construction, project delivery, commercial governance and client engagement. life sciences and industrial projects.Joining Kirby means becoming part of a business known for:Industry-leading data centre expertiseMajor international project exposureLong-term career progression opportunitiesA collaborative and people-first cultureInvestment in leadership development and trainingFinancial strength and a strong project pipeline across EuropeThe RoleAs Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial leadership across the Business Unit and project teams, ensuring robust commercial governance, risk management and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.You'll be heavily involved from bid evaluation and contract negotiation through to project completion and final account settlement, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved while supporting successful project delivery.Alongside project responsibilities, you will play a key role in building commercial capability, developing best practice processes and strengthening commercial awareness across the wider business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead commercial strategy and governance across the project and wider Business UnitManage Business Unit revenue, profitability, cash flow and monthly reporting requirementsEstablish and implement the optimum commercial team structureMentor, train and develop Quantity Surveyors and commercial team membersSupport tender evaluations, commercial reviews and bid strategy developmentConduct gap analysis on tender opportunities before contract awardReview and negotiate client contracts, identifying liabilities, obligations and commercial risksLead commercial negotiations through contract award and project executionEvaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies with senior stakeholdersReview and challenge monthly profit plans, forecasts and commercial reportingDrive accountability across the commercial function to ensure project milestones are achievedManage subcontractor and supplier commercial arrangements,
