In this senior presales engineering role, you drive technical sales for Tier 2 Service Provider customers in Italy, leveraging deep product and competitive knowledge. You will craft and present solutions that meet customer needs, influence technology strategies, and build trusted relationships with technical decision-makers. The role blends networking with virtualization and automation discussions, offering exposure to cutting-edge tech in a collaborative sales environment.

- Drive technical sales activities by understanding customer requirements and proposing fitting HPE solutions
- Lead technical responses for RFPs/RFQs and assemble BoMs for opportunities
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts to showcase innovations
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer technical decision-makers and partners
- Capture customer requirements and market trends to inform product units and strategy
- Stay ahead of industry and competitive solutions through continuous learning




- Collaborate with SE peers, Account Managers, and other parts of the organization
- Guide customers on how virtualization and automation capabilities address business needs
- +8 years of experience in Sales/Presales
- Strong experience with Service Provider networks in a technical/pre-sales role
- Expert level knowledge in routing technologies and protocols (MPLS, SR)
- Experience in Automation, xysqume Cloud/DC, Security, Network Virtualization
- Ability to explain complex topics in a structured, understandable way
- Knowledge/interest in network automation and network virtualization
- Desirable knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible, Netconf/YANG, JSON, Openconfig) and service provider security
