Responsibilities

- Design, analyze, and verify structural systems to ensure integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Develop engineering solutions for steel modules, platforms, structural steel frameworks, concrete foundations, and general civil works.
- Create and maintain accurate design documentation, including engineering specifications, bills of materials, and design change requests.
- Conduct design reviews and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of construction plant equipment.
- Interface directly with customers to understand technical requirements, present design solutions, and support project execution.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance.
- Participate in product development programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing engineers and clients during the erection/plant installation phase, addressing design‑related inquiries and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with Quality teams to develop and implement testing and inspection procedures that ensure compliance with quality standards.




- Define and propose procedures and tool customizations aimed at improving design standardization, reducing cost and lead time, and implementing internal standards and knowledge.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Design Engineer in complex Oil & Gas/Industrial/Energy plant solutions, preferably with EPC companies.
- Expertise with engineering tools for civil and structural design (e.g., SAP2000, Staad, Midas, Ansys, IdeaStatica).
- Knowledge of 3D plant modelling tools (TEKLA, AVEVA E3D) and 2D design tools (AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including API, ASME, AISC, DNV, NTC, and ASCE.
- Fluent in Italian and English; a EU work permit is required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Organizational and time‑management skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
