Our general education paraprofessionalsassistteachers in general daily classroom activities. They work with individual students or small groups to support reading and pre-reading skills. They also supervise students during non-classroom time such as lunch or recess. Additionally, general education paras may supervise classes of students while teachers are at meetings. Paraeducatorshave the unique opportunity to contribute to positive educational outcomes by working as part of the outstanding team dedicated to educating our students.

Location: Lake Garda Elementary School

Nestled in the hills of Northwestern CT, Region 10 serves the towns of Harwinton and Burlington and is bordered by Farmington, Bristol, Litchfield, and Torrington.



Our communities have many offerings contributing to work/life balance and convenience for daily life.

Starting Date: August 25, 2026

Wage: $20.15

Schedule: 6.5 hours per day for 183 days per year

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent plus
- Two years of college credit OR
- Pass a paraeducator assessment (Para Pro)
