Our culture is innovative, collaborative and performance focused. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance. Graduate CSA Engineer – Milan Where better to start your engineering career than in a city built on architecture, design and great coffee?
Kirby Group
Engineering has spent the last 62 years becoming the engineering partner of choice for data centres, pharma and power clients across Europe. We build complicated things for blue‑chip companies — and we’re good at it. That’s why our order book is stacked for the next five years and beyond.
Now we’re looking for a Graduate CSA Engineer to join our Milan team.
If you want real responsibility, real support, and real projects (not “graduate busywork”), keep reading. What You’ll Actually Do You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a major data centre project. In practice, that means you’ll get involved in:
- Designing and drafting civil, structural and architectural elements using CAD/Revit/BIM tools
- Helping produce drawings, specifications and documentation
- Participating in structural calculations and basic engineering analysis (don’t panic — you’ll get help)
- Reviewing designs for compliance with Eurocodes and project requirements
- Visiting site, taking notes, spotting issues and learning how things actually get built
- Coordinating with mechanical and electrical colleagues so the whole design fits together
- Supporting planning, scheduling and tracking of deliverables
- Sitting in stakeholder and contractor meetings and following up on actions
- Helping uphold safety, environmental and quality standards — the non‑negotiables on every Kirby project
In other words, you’ll be learning the ropes properly, not watching from the sidelines. What You’ll Need
- A degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering (or something closely related)
- A solid grasp of engineering fundamentals
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Revit or similar software — BIM experience is a nice bonus
- Familiarity with Eurocodes and building regulations
- Good communication skills (English & Italian)
- An eye for detail and a willingness to ask questions instead of guessing
- The ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior engineers
- Flexibility to visit site when required
What You’ll Get
- A competitive graduate salary
- Exposure to one of Europe’s fastest‑growing construction sectors
- A career development programme designed to actually develop your career
- A collaborative environment where people take their work seriously — but not themselves
- The chance to build your future while delivering “leading‑edge” engineering projects (yes, we know every company says that… we just happen to mean it)
If you want a role where you’ll learn quickly, contribute meaningfully and work with people who know exactly what they’re doing, Kirby Milan is a pretty good place to start. For more information on this role, or other Construction / Engineering opportunities across Ireland, the UK, Europe, or South Africa please review our careers page (Vacancies – Kirby Group Careers) or contact the Talent Acquisition Team at Kirby Group in confidence on +353 (0)1 454 0411. Kirby Group Engineering is an equal opportunities employer.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of race, gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or age.
