Who we are Ancora is building the AI-native accounting and tax service for Italian SMEs: one fixed monthly price, answers in hours instead of weeks, a technology platform built from scratch and accounting firms operated directly by the group. We are a Milan-based startup, backed by some of the best Italian early-stage investors. The role We are looking for our first Business Development Representative: the person who opens conversations between Ancora and Italian entrepreneurs. Milan hybrid, €35,000-45,000 OTE (base plus uncapped variable), stock options. The rest you go get yourself, researching and cold-contacting target companies. You are one of the first two people on Ancora's commercial team: you open the conversations, our Account Executive and the founders close them. The process you build becomes our sales machine. Personalized emails and messages that get replies, phone when it shortens the path.
You find and cold-contact the companies warm channels don't bring in: newly incorporated startups, businesses unhappy with their current accountant.
You quickly understand whether there is a real fit, and book the meeting for our Account Executive and the founders only when there is. Every contact tracked in the CRM, every follow-up on time. You have 1-3 years of experience in sales development, inside sales or business development, ideally selling to small businesses or founders.
You write excellent, native-level Italian: our outreach lives on clear, personal messages, never tired templates.
