Mission
RINA is currently recruiting for a surveyor to join its office in La Spezia within the naval vessel operational unit.
Primary function is to survey and assess submarines, naval ships, patrol boats and other marine structures during construction and in service, for compliance with the applicable Class, statutory and other possible applicable requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Professional Application: Acts as a professional specialist, applying knowledge of rules, regulations, and industry concepts within the organization’s framework.
- Inspection and Reporting: Conducts routine surveys on classed ships, platforms, or marine structures for compliance with classification and statutory requirements, following the guidance and supervision of a Surveyor, Senior Surveyor, or Principal Surveyor. Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys.
- File Maintenance:
Maintains survey files in an orderly and up‑to‑date manner within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Continuous Learning: Maintains an active awareness of new working methods and developments affecting the technical scope of assigned responsibilities. Engages in ongoing learning to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to surveying practices.
- Problem‑Solving: Recommends new approaches to problems encountered, seeking guidance and supervision from more experienced surveyors.
- Collaboration and Guidance: Collaborates with and seeks guidance from more experienced surveyors to ensure accurate and effective survey outcomes. Participates in team activities and contributes to a collaborative work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Contributes to maintaining the quality of surveying work under the guidance of experienced surveyors. Assists in the adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Client Interaction: Engages
