Experteer Overview As a Senior Security Engineer, you will act as the technical security lead for Kong Cloud, applying deep expertise in high-performance networking and distributed systems. You will shape the security posture of the world's popular API gateway by advancing OSS‐driven network and application security initiatives. You'll collaborate with product and architecture teams to drive a strategic security roadmap across multi‐cloud and hybrid environments. This role challenges you to balance OSS community needs with enterprise requirements while mentoring engineers in secure coding and secure design. and IPS at the gateway level Design and implement Zero Trust security models across multi‐cloud and hybrid environments Partner with Product and Architecture to define a multi‐year security roadmap Lead incident response to complex security challenges including supply chain vulnerabilities and CVE remediations Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and drive cybersecurity maturity Responsibilities 5+ years in Cybersecurity Engineering with focus on high‐traffic infrastructure or API management Expert knowledge of multi‐cloud design and securing traffic across cloud providers and Kubernetes Proven experience designing/deploying WAF, IDS, IPS systems at scale Proficient in Python, Go or Rust Experience contributing to or maintaining open‐source security projects is a plus Strong ability to produce high‐performance security designs that maintain low latency #J-18808-Ljbffr
