Overview As a Mechanical Engineer in Cavotec's Connectors Team, you will develop new solutions and manage active product lines. You collaborate across production, service, and engineering to translate customer needs into sustainable, manufacturable designs. You'll lead feasibility studies, develop CAD models and prototypes, and contribute to continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle. This role combines hands‐on design with documentation, testing, and collaboration to deliver reliable, market‐ready products that advance decarbonisation. and prototypes Contribute to continuous improvement and design optimization across the lifecycle Collaborate with other engineering teams to verify and finalize requirements and specifications Conduct feasibility studies and support design validation through simulations and testing Ensure designs meet performance, cost, sustainability, and regulatory requirements Support issue resolution and assist internal production teams and suppliers Stay updated on materials, manufacturing processes, and design trends Responsibilities & Qualifications Master's degree or bachelor's in mechanical engineering, Product Design Engineering or related field Proven experience in product development and design engineering (≥5 years) Proficient in 3 D CAD software (Solid Works or similar) Ability to perform FEM analysis or collaborate with external consultants Solid knowledge of key manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, casting) Knowledge of materials used in these processes (plastics, rubbers, metals) Experience selecting materials ba
