We are looking for a BIW Shop Launch Manager to lead the preparation, execution, and stabilization of the Body Shop (BIW) during new vehicle launches and industrial changes, ensuring full product & process readiness, program delivery on time and within budget, and a smooth transition to serial production.
The role guarantees manufacturability and producibility of the product, in line with Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Ergonomics targets, leveraging SPW principles and standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial,



or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in Manufacturing – Body Shop / Welding (BIW)
- Proven track record in:
- Vehicle launches and industrial ramp-ups
- Body Shop equipment and process integration
- Managing cross-functional industrial teams
- Experience in project management within manufacturing environments

Skills Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of Body Shop processes:
- Welding technologies (spot welding, laser, MIG/MAG, etc.)
- Body assembly processes and geometry control
- Fixtures, robots, and automation systems
- Experience with:
- Industrialization and process validation
- KPI management (quality, OPR, cost, timing)
- Defect detection, containment, and resolution during launch
- Understanding of:
- Transformation cost structure (DST, DSTR, capex, energy)
- Design-to-Manufacturing convergence
- Familiarity with SPW methodology and launch governance
