The Constructability Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the construction execution on site by influencing the Engineering design. They solve complex problems and use their discipline-specific knowledge to improve the construction execution on site. The Constructability Engineer impacts the construction execution ensuring the work can be completed by site teams safely, on time and within work hour budgets while meeting Quality requirements. - Coordinate with the Completions Manager on discipline activity
- Coordinate with Site QA/QC Manager on final inspection and punch list, red-line drawings to show as-build conditions; perform engineering activities to develop/complete design; prepare/answer Request for Information and Field Work Order Requests
- Supervise the Site Document Management Department and ensure that project personnel adhere to correspondence and filing system guidelines
- Facilitate preparation of drawings for special construction equipment, scaffolds, workstations, and construction aids
- Arrange for procurement, fabrication, and installation of the required items
- Manage Engineering support on the site through the Project Manager at the home office
- There will be specific times that Engineering support will be required on the site to assist in acceptance or checkout
- Manage all correspondence concerning questions or issues between Engineering and Construction through a Request for Information (RFI) system for document tracking and control
- Close out all RFIs and incorporate them into the turnover systems for care and custody of the Client
- Capture progress daily in Work Face Planning software from information provided by Foremen/General Foremen
- Analyze daily progress and schedule performance
