**Job Title: Financial Controller** **Location**: Rome, Italy
**Reports To**: CFO/Senior Financial Controller **About Us** Wandrian is a leading travel company specializing in Italy-focused experiences, with operations spanning the US, Canada, and Italy. Our company is made up of various ItaliaBrands, collectively delivering world-class Italian travel services and products, including ItaliaRail, ItaliaTours, ItaliaPass, and more. **Role Overview** **Key Responsibilities**
- **Financial Oversight**: Manage and coordinate the financial reporting and accounting processes for our Italian subsidiaries, working closely with our North American finance team to ensure alignment and compliance.
- **CPA & External Partner Management**: Work closely with subsidiary CPAs and external accounting firms to ensure compliance with Italian financial regulations and timely submission of financial statements.
- **Reporting & Compliance**: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Italian and international accounting standards.
- **Operational Finance Support**: Provide financial oversight and structure for our tour operations team, helping streamline financial processes and improve cost efficiency.




- **Budgeting & Forecasting**: Support budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning for Italian entities.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Monitor tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements to ensure compliance with Italian financial laws.
- **Financial Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in financial operations and implement best practices. **Qualifications & Experience**
- 8+ years of experience in accounting, financial management, or controlling, preferably within an international business setting.
- Fluent in Italian (C1/C2 level preferred) with strong English skills (written and spoken).
- Experience working with Italian accounting, tax laws, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, Italian GAAP).
- Experience managing external CPAs and working with multiple business entities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; NetSuite is a plus.
- Experience in the tourism, travel, or hospitality industry is a plus. **Work Authorization
