Discover Group of Travel Services Inc. is seeking a **licensed and knowledgeable Local Tour Guide** in **Rome, Italy** to lead a group of 35 travelers on a full-day city tour. The guide will provide engaging commentary, ensure smooth tour coordination, and deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining professionalism and adherence to local regulations—especially during visits to the Vatican and other historical sites. **Key Responsibilities**: - Lead and manage a group of 35 guests throughout the day according to the scheduled itinerary.
- Conduct informative, engaging, and culturally rich guided tours at key attractions, including: - **Vatican City** - St. Peter’s Basilica and optional Sistine Chapel Tour.
- **Trevi Fountain** - Share historical insights and local legends.
- **Colosseum and Arch of Constantine** - Facilitate guided or optional tours, highlighting the historical and architectural significance of each site.
- Provide historical background, cultural context, and anecdotes that enhance the guests’ understanding and enjoyment.
- Coordinate with the Tour Manager and coach driver to ensure timely transitions between destinations.
- Monitor group safety, comfort, and punctuality throughout the tour.




- Offer local recommendations during free time (e.g., dining, gelato spots, shopping, and leisure activities).
- Uphold company values of professionalism, courtesy, and cultural respect at all times. **Qualifications**: - Must hold a **valid license to operate as a Local Tour Guide in Rome** (especially authorized to guide within the Vatican).
- Proven experience in conducting guided tours for medium to large groups (preferably 20+ participants).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills in **English** (additional languages are an advantage).
- Deep knowledge of Rome’s history, art, culture, and landmarks.
- Strong organizational and crowd management abilities.
- Professional appearance and conduct suitable for high-profile and cultural locations.
