Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.

/li liThe role also demands caution and judgment when transporting patients, as well as effective communication with therapists, physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families in a mannerappropriate tothe population served.

/li liRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

/li liOccasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
/li liRequires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
/li liRequires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
