Asian Women Resource Centre AWRC

The AWRC (Asian Women’s Resource Centre ) is a feminist organization whose values are founded on commitments to human rights, anti-discrimination and freedom from oppression. We endorse global evidence that violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence is gendered, a cause and consequence of the unequal position of women and girls in society, a violation of human rights, and is entirely preventable.

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days office-based)

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (pro-rata for tempo parziale)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term until March 2027 (with potential for extension)

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialist NRPF Caseworker to join our frontline team.

This pivotal role supports Black and minoritised women with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) who are at risk of, or experiencing, domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence.

You will provide intensive casework, advocacy, and crisis intervention — ensuring survivors have access to safety, secure accommodation, legal protection, and financial support.

You will also play a key role in advocating with statutory and voluntary agencies, challenging systemic barriers that prevent migrant women from accessing justice and safety.

About You

You will bring a deep understanding of the structural inequalities and immigration-based exclusions that underpin violence against Black and minoritised women. You are compassionate, tenacious, and confident advocating for women facing multiple forms of discrimination and state violence.

Essential skills and experience include:

- Extensive experience supporting women affected by VAWG, domestic abuse, and NRPF conditions.
- Strong knowledge of immigration controls,

housing rights, welfare benefits and their intersection with gender-based violence.
- Experience of working within BME or community-based women’s organisations.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage complex caseloads and maintain professional boundaries.
- Fluency in at least one community language
- Commitment to feminist values, anti-racism and equality.

Why Join Us?

At AWRC, you’ll be part of a passionate, supportive, and values-driven team. We offer:

- A hybrid working model (2 days office-based)
- Generous annual leave (25 days + public holidays)
- Access to regular clinical supervision and professional development
- A feminist, intersectional, and inclusive working environment
- Floating days and Birthday Leave
- 1000's of discounts at retailers via reward gateway

It is essential to the development of AWRC’s service delivery that the post holder is able to respond flexibly to changes in the requirements of this post. This job description is therefore a guide and not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities the post holder may have over time.

This post is open to women only (Exemption under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010).

We particularly welcome applications from Black and minoritized women, LGBTQ+ women, women with disabilities, and those with lived experience of the asylum or NRPF system.

Application Deadline: 11th September 2026 at 5 pm

Please kindly note that this role is being recruited on rolling basis and therefore can be closed early if a suitable candidate is found.

NOTE: Interviews will be conducted face to face and a task will be involved as part of the process.

If you require any reasonable adjustments please get in touch with us at (email hidden).
