Job Description CROWN Packaging Manufacturing Italy S.r.l. is seeking a skilled Cans Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair high-speed can manufacturing machinery, ensuring optimal production efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of mechanical equipment used in can manufacturing, including presses, bodymakers, trimmers, flangers, and seaming machines.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and production losses.
Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment operation and repair procedures.
Execute adjustments and calibrations to machinery to maintain specified operating parameters and product quality standards.
Collaborate with production personnel and other technicians to identify and address recurring mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.




Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
Job Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment, such as can making, metal forming, or packaging.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Formal technical education or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field is highly desirable.
