You will take ownership of complex projects involving satellite data, urban intelligence and environmental modelling.
/p pThis is a key technical role: you will define methodologies, mentor junior analysts and serve as the primary GIS reference within the team.
We are looking for someone with deep expertise in spatial analysis, strong programming skills and the ability to translate client requirements into robust geospatial solutions.
/p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the design and execution of complex spatial analysis workflows for client projects /li liArchitect and manage enterprise geodatabases, ensuring data quality, consistency and accessibility /li liPerform advanced spatial modelling: multi-criteria analysis, suitability mapping, change detection, terrain analysis /li liProcess and analyse satellite imagery (optical and SAR) for monitoring and mapping applications /li liDesign and produce high-quality cartographic outputs and interactive web maps /liliMentor junior GIS analysts and conduct internal training sessions /li liInterface with clients to define requirements,
present results and provide technical consultancy /li liEvaluate and integrate new geospatial technologies and data sources into company workflows /li liContribute to proposal writing and technical documentation for funded projects /li /ul h3Must-have Requirements /h3 ul liMinimum 4 years of professional experience in GIS analysis and spatial data management /li liExpert-level proficiency in QGIS and/or ArcGIS Pro with advanced geoprocessing capabilities /li liStrong Python programming skills with geospatial libraries (geopandas, rasterio, shapely, fiona, arcpy) /li liDeep knowledge of spatial databases: PostGIS, SpatiaLite or enterprise geodatabases /li liExperience with remote sensing data processing and analysis (Sentinel, Landsat, commercial VHR) /li liSolid understanding of coordinate systems, projections, data formats and OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WCS) /li liProven ability to manage complex projects and deliver quality outputs under deadlines /li liExcellent written and spoken English (C1+); Italian required /li liDegree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent /li /ul h3Nice-to-have Requirements /h3 ul liExperience with Google Earth Engine, SNAP or ENVI for satellite data processing /li liKnowledge of cloud-based geospatial platforms (GEE, AWS geospatial, Azure Maps) /li liFamiliarity with 3D GIS, CityGML, BIM-GIS integration or digital twin technologies /li liExperience with machine learning applied to geospatial data (image classification, object detection) /li liBackground in LiDAR processing, photogrammetry or UAV mapping /li liContributions to open-source GIS projects or published geospatial research /li liPMP or equivalent project management certification /li /ul h3Personal Requirements /h3 ul liTechnical leadership: ability to define methodologies and guide the team towards best practices /li liStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills /li liExcellent communication: able to explain complex spatial concepts to non-technical stakeholders /li liSelf-driven and autonomous with a strong sense of ownership /li liPassion for geospatial innovation and continuous learning /li liClient-oriented mindset with attention to quality and detail /li /ul /p #J-*****-Ljbffr
