ph3bThe Role /b /h3 pAs a bSecurity Engineer /b at Air Apps, you will be responsible for bsafeguarding our applications, infrastructure, and data /b from threats and vulnerabilities.
You will work closely with development, DevOps, and IT teams to implement bsecure coding practices, vulnerability scanning, and threat modeling /b to ensure our systems remain resilient against cyber threats.
/p pYour expertise will help build and maintain a bsecure development lifecycle (SDLC), security monitoring frameworks, and proactive risk mitigation strategies /b.
/p ul lipThis is a bfully onsite position /b, based at our office in Lisbon, where you will collaborate closely with cross?functional teams in person and contribute to a dynamic and fast?paced environment.

/b /p /li /ul h3bResponsibilities /b /h3 ul lipDevelop and implement bthreat modeling /b to identify security risks across applications and infrastructure.
/p /li lipConduct bvulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and security assessments /b to detect weaknesses.
/p /li lipDefine and enforce bsecure coding practices /b in collaboration with development teams.
/p /li lipWork with DevOps to integrate bsecurity into CI/CD pipelines /b and automate security testing.
/p /li lipMonitor and respond to bsecurity incidents /b, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
/p /li lipEnsure compliance with bsecurity standards and regulations /b (e.g., ISO *****, GDPR, SOC 2).
/p /li lipDesign and implement bidentity and access management (IAM) policies, encryption standards, and authentication mechanisms /b.
/p /li lipCollaborate with product teams to conduct bsecurity reviews of features, APIs, and third?party integrations /b.
/p /li lipDevelop bincident response plans, security documentation, and best practices /b.
/p /li lipStay ahead of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.




/p /li /ul h3bRequirements /b /h3 ul lipAround b4+ years /b of experience in bcybersecurity, application security, or security engineering /b.
/p /li lipStrong knowledge of bsecure coding principles, OWASP Top 10, and threat modeling techniques /b.
/p /li lipExperience with bvulnerability scanning tools /b (Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite) and bpenetration testing methodologies /b.
/p /li lipHands?on experience with bSIEM, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security monitoring tools /b.
/p /li lipProficiency in bscripting and automation /b (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for security tasks.
/p /li lipFamiliarity with bcloud security /b in AWS, Azure, or GCP, including IAM and workload protection.
/p /li lipKnowledge of bencryption protocols, network security, and API security best practices /b.
/p /li lipExperience working with bDevSecOps /b, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
/p /li lipAbility to analyze bsecurity logs, detect anomalies, and mitigate potential threats /b.
/p /li lipExcellent problem?solving skills and ability to communicate security concepts to non?technical stakeholders.
