SMS group S.p.A., a company of the German group SMS, a worldwide leading company for plant and machinery manufacturing in the steelmaking and non-ferrous material industry, is looking for a Strategic Buyer. Activities: - Independent search for new suppliers;
- Participation in auditing and qualifying new suppliers;
- Independently conducting price negotiations and drawing up globally valid supplier contracts;
- Close cooperation with operational buyers in all global purchasing organizations;
- Close cooperation with development and design;
- Defining and implementing the material group strategy;
- Continuous further development of the material groups for which you are responsible;
- Contributing to the further development of material group and supplier management;
- Creating a basis for decision-making, preparing data and analyses;
- Developing and implementing cost reduction programs to optimize manufacturing costs;
- Supporting the monitoring and reporting of our "Performance and Profitability Program". **Requirements**: - Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or economics;
- At least 10 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing in an international industrial company, preferably in plant construction;
- Target-, process
- and quality-oriented way of working;
- Very good technical and strategic understanding;
- Strong methodological and social skills;
- Confident manner, persuasiveness and strong decision-making skills;
- Very good SAP and IT skills;
- Fluent written and spoken English;
- Willingness to travel worldwide. Location: Tarcento (UD)
