Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to join our office in Milan
Reporting directly to the Business development Manager, you will:
- Support the identification and development of new business opportunities in the renewable energy segment, with a particular focus on emerging ocean energy markets (tidal, wave, floating solutions)
- Contribute to market intelligence activities, tracking industry trends, competitors, and new technologies in niche and fast-evolving sectors
- Engage with external stakeholders (developers, EPCs, technology providers, institutions) to position Prysmian as a key partner in innovative projects
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals, pre-qualifications, and tenders for new and strategic opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, R&D;, product management) to adapt existing solutions or develop new offerings tailored to emerging applications
- Contribute to business development initiatives in defense and military applications, supporting strategic positioning and opportunity scouting




- Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities in both renewable and defense-related markets
- Support client meetings, workshops, and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify new leads

You are the right fit if you have/are:
- Fluent in English and another language is a plus
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or equivalent)
- Up to 3-4 years of experience as/in a business development role
- basic understanding of energy infrastructure, offshore or industrial projects
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset
