Job Title: Piping Specialist
Duration: 12 months extendable
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Location: Milan, Italy
This opportunity supports a detail design EPC project within the oil and gas sector, focused on water handling and injection facilities to maintain long-term production capability. The role offers involvement across design review, contractor oversight, 3D model reviews, HAZOP studies and field engineering coordination. This position is well suited to candidates with strong piping engineering expertise across FEED to completion, including stress, surge, vendor packages, PMS and ball valves.
Key Responsibilities

- Review design drawings, technical documents, material specifications and equipment specifications, and analyse deviations.
- Resolve piping engineering issues by applying accepted engineering principles, codes and standards.
- Review and interpret design blueprints prepared by planners and support supervision of installation works.
- Plan and prepare schedules to ensure work is completed within project deadlines.
- Support the efficient delivery and performance of the piping system.
- Monitor progress to ensure work proceeds in line with the agreed schedule.
- Coordinate with architects and planners to discuss plans and clarify installation processes.
- Implement and promote safety measures within the workplace.
- Prepare estimates for piping works and document project development stages.
- Monitor contractor design, procurement and construction to support timely delivery of effective technical and economical solutions for mechanical and piping systems.
- Monitor overall design integrity and compliance with international standards, company specifications and engineering best practices.
- Provide input to detailed design activities to support project milestones.
- Participate in engineering reviews and coordinate field input.
- Review and audit schedules, supporting procedures and progress certificates.
- Participate in HAZOP studies, construction risk assessment reviews and constructability workshops.
- Review field engineering related procedures.
- Coordinate 3D model reviews and TAG resolution.
- Support interface reviews, technical query responses, and engineering input for early construction scope.
- Review scope, material take‑off and pay items related to change orders.
Required Education & Certifications

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Required)
Required Experience
-
- 10 to 15 years of related work experience (Required)
- Experience in an engineering role associated with oil and gas projects from FEED to completion (Required)
- Aramco project experience (Required)
- Design and field implementation experience (Required)
Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of engineering practices, line designation, economic principles, calculation methods and design details
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, procedures and specifications
- Piping route design expertise
- Piping stress analysis knowledge
- Surge analysis knowledge
